Yashica Y Ruffin, MD MPH is a graduate of Saint Augustine’s University, where she was a Presidential Scholar during her 4 years obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Ruffin attended New York University’s Steinhardt School of Education where she completed a Master of Science in Public Health. She is a graduate of Ross University’s School of Medicine where she maintained the Eliza Ann Grier full Academic scholarship during her 4 years of study. During her training in the Grant Family Medicine Residency, she was selected as one of the program’s Chief Residents.

Dr. Ruffin is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has contributed her passion and knowledge to patient care in the areas of Family, Bariatric, and Addiction Medicine for more than 9 years. She has 3 years in Obesity medicine or Bariatric medicine and she is passionate about the overall Health and Wellness of all patients, and currently works to treat and advocate for those struggling with substance abuse.  She believes in all areas of health and wellness, understanding and walking in the power that each person holds, and by utilizing available tools that best serve an individual's vision, all things are possible.

Currently, Dr. Ruffin holds certifications from the American Board of Family Medicine, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission.
